Chief Operating Officer
Adrienne D. Useted is committed to supporting the development of our next generation of leaders by improving public education opportunities for children today. As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at LEAD Public Schools, Adrienne is responsible for supporting current and future staff across our network of schools.
She joined LEAD in July 2012 as part of the Broad Residency for urban education, a leadership development program that supports professionals in management positions in urban public education.
Prior to her role at LEAD, Adrienne worked with Civic Consulting Alliance in Chicago to improve city services in the education and arts sectors. She began her career at Steppenwolf Theatre Company, a Tony-Award winning nonprofit, where she established the HR department and contributed to the company being the only nonprofit ever to be named a “Top 10 Small Workplace” by the Wall Street Journal. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Theatre from Vanderbilt University and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with concentrations in Social Enterprise and Management and Organizations.
