The LEAD Ethos
LEAD Public Schools exists to support, educate, and train the next generation of responsible citizens. Through our daily advisory period (Crew), students are paired with a caring adult and provided a specific venue to further develop social and emotional skills. Likewise, students participate in complementary activities such as extracurriculars, sports, volunteerism, and civic participation to ensure that we graduate fully developed students.
- I LEAD because I am SELF-RELIANT
- I LEAD because I am COURAGEOUS
- I LEAD because I am COMMITTED
- I LEAD because I am DISCIPLINED
- I LEAD because I SERVE OTHERS
LEAD Public Schools' students are a crew, not passengers. In this daily advisory period, students meet with their crew leader and peers in discussing contemporary issues, on-campus activities, and ways to enhance his/her academic experience as LEADers.
Crew is an integral part of our academic curriculum in that it provides a venue for students to be up to date on what's going on in the community, but also to learn in a non-traditional setting.
LEAD Public Schools implements a curriculum that ensures the successful development of the complete student. Consistent with our Ethos, students are provided extracurricular activities that not only complement our academic curriculum, but develops students socially and emotionally. Students exhibit their commitment to the LEAD Ethos by participating in numerous extracurricular and athletic activities; some of which are listed below.
